A Delhi court awarded life term to ex-army officer SJ Choudhary for killing businessman Krishan Sikand in a parcel bomb explosion 26 years ago.
District Judge Mamta Sehgal said, pronouncing the sentence in a jam-packed courtroom, “I sentence you to life term”. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 on Choudhary.

Grenade explosion killed 10 in Panchkula
An Indian-Tibetan Police trooper has been killed & 9 other injured when a grenade exploded while they were conducting training exercises at a firing range near Panchkula on Friday.
Head constable Om Prakash succumbed to his injuries in the hospital after being seriously wounded in the explosion at a firing range, 10 km from Panchkula.
ITBP officials said the grenade exploded when the troopers were conducting field exercises. This is the second incident of this kind in less than two months.

Supreme Court adjourned hearing of Sethusamudram case
The hearing of the Sethusamudram project has been adjourned in the Supreme Court for Thursday. Fire in Reliance outlet in Delhi
A Reliance outlet has caught fire on Monday. The minor fire broke out at a retail outlet in north east Delhi.
The fire was reported at the Reliance outlet in Shahdara area this morning. At least four fire tenders were rushed to the spot.
The blaze was brought under control within 20 minutes.
There was no causality in the incident and the cause of the fire was not immediately known.

Delhi Police has suspended 98 traffic policemen on Saturday after a vigilance inquiry identified them in a tape in which they were allegedly seen accepting bribes. Multi-storeyed building collapsed in Seelampur in Delhi
A multi-storey underconstruction building has been collapsed on Brahampuri road in Seelampur in north east Delhi on Saturday. Building was collapsed at 7:15 am (IST), in which 7 killed & several others injured.
At least 20 people were critically injured when the building in New Usmanpur locality collapsed.
