Twenty-one MLA Mukhtar Ansari’s sharp shooters were arrested from the Lucknow on Sunday.
They were on way to execute crimes involving extortion & land grabbing in different parts of the state capital.
Police recovered five revolvers, four rifles, one double barrel gun, 118 cartridges & 32 cellphones from the accused travelling in five SUVs. The Cantonment police intercepted the gang in Rajman Bazaar area.

Delhi Electricity Regulatory Commission (DERC) increased electricity rates by five paise per unit in Delhi. An official said, “The commission in the current tariff order to increased the tariff by five paise per unit for all the consumers including domestic, agriculture & industrials. 18 people were killed & one injured in an accident when a bus skidded off the road & fell into a river in northeastern India on Sunday. Rescue team is searching for the passengers in the river near the town of Sonapur.

The airport of Kanpur on Saturday evening caught fire. The Kanpur airport at the high security zone of the Sahar Cantonement saw chaos after the runway of the airport caught fire.
Ground staff & officers found themselves amidst a blaze, which was fortunately controlled in time after six firetenders arrived on the spot. The fire started in the bushes flanking the runway. Police started investigate the cause of the fire.

A scrap factory in a garden area of Sahibabad caught a major fire on Saturday in which goods worth lakhs of rupees damaged.The incident took place in the garden area of Shalimar.
Four fire tenders & three foam tenders along with 150 personnel were engaged in the fire-fighting operations at scrap factory of Sahibabad but the fire could not be controlled yet. The fire was started at around 2.00 am in the godown.

A major fire on Friday broke out in a commercial area of the Chennai in morning. The fire first broke out in a chemical company 7 then spread to another company. Prakash Paranjpe the MP of Shiv Sena has died in Thane, Mumbai, on Wednesday night following a prolonged illness. Prakash Paranjpe was 61 years old.
