Some people has burnt alive a hindu priest in a Bihar village on Thursday, police said today.
An official of Police said that the Sudama Das, a mahant of the Thangar Math, was attacked over a land dispute in Pawar village under the Pawna police station in Bhiojpur district, about 70 km from Patna.
The police have filed a case & investigating the matter.

An earthquake of magnitude 3.4 struck the parts of Delhi & Haryana experienced mild tremors of 3.4 magnitude at 23:09 pm on Thursday night. There was no immedite reports of any casualties.
The epicentre of this eathquake was in Sonepat in Haryana, about 40 km from Delhi at latitude 29.0 north & longitude 77.1 east.
The tremors were not unusual since Delhi lies in seismological zone IV. People in many high-rise buildings rushed out of their houses.

Police has arrested at least 44 persons at Hosur near Krishnagiri on Thursday when they tried to block a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation bus in retaliation to the protests by pro-Kannada groups in Karnataka opposing the Hogenakkal Integrated Water Project.
They were protesting against attacks on cinemas screening Tamil movies as well as Tamil Sangam office in Bangalore by the groups, police said.

Chattrapal the kidnapper of Adobe executive’s son has been arrested on Wednesday, Police said today.
Chattrapal, the main accused in the kidnapping of former Adobe executive Naresh Gupta’s son Anant, who escaped from a court premises in February, has been arrested.
Chattrapal was arrested last night by a Special Operations Group team of Uttar Pradesh police from his home in Rabupura, his native town in the state.

Police has arrested three top militants of Hizbul Mujahideen including a self-styled district commander from Kupwara district of Jammu & Kashmir, an official of Police said on Thursday.

A 13 years old Class VII student was found dead in the Bisrakh area of Greater Noida, Police said on Thursday. One of the victim’s schoolmates has been nabbed for questioning.

Karnataka bandh on April 14 has announced by Kannada groups on Tuesday to protest Tamil Nadu chief minister M Karunanidhi’s statement that his government would go ahead with the controversial Hogenakkal water project.

A landmine blast has been triggered by suspected extremists which injured five policemen near Vishnugarh in Hazaribag district.
