Hyderabad, May 29^th: The results for Andhra Pradesh Polytechnic Results 2010 have been announced.  The CEEP 2010 was conducted by the Andhra Pradesh State Board Of Technical Education & Training (Common Entrance Examination for Admission into Polytechnics).

The university aims to develop the knowledge and learning in various departments such as Physical and Social Sciences, Engineering and Technology, practical training and experimentation.

Governor of Andhra Pradesh is the Chancellor of the University. The Vice-Chancellor is the academic chief and Principal Executive Officer of JNTU. The Executive Council of JNTU manages the university.

Hyderabad, March 30 – The festival of Navratri ended with the clash between Hindus and Muslims. The communal riot started after trying to replace the green flags hoisted by Muslims for celebrating Prophet Muhammad’s birthday one month ago. As they never take out the flags, Hindus attempted to change the green flags with saffron ones to celebrate Hindu festival Saturday.

The clashes started in the Musarambagh area while Ram Navami Hindu festival was going on. The incident of firing one cowshed and killing four cows caused to add more revenge.

The shameful riot continued with torturing vehicles and damaging temples and mosques Sunday. Around 200 people are injured and one killed in the communal riot since Saturday. The curfew imposed in the capital of Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad last night. Federal authorities assigned 1,800 paramilitary troops and police to soothe the situation, the city police commissioner A. K. Khan told.

They attacked with stones and clubs; authorities wanted to use tear gas and warning shots and swung sticks to break up the violent people.

The situation seems to be under control till a man stabbed to death in the Monday evening.

The communal riot was not new to this old city as the last major Hindu-Muslim riot killed 200 people in 1990. Among the population of 8 million in the city, around 40 percent Muslims appeared.

The suspected 130 persons are taken under custody for involving in the communal clashes. The security alert was high today to retain the law and order as the Hanuman Jayanti celebrations Tuesday.

In the other end, in 140 centers of South Zone the 10th class examinations are postponed due to the riot

Hyderabad, Feb. 20 — For ten hours Hyderabad city was laid to siege by police on Saturday to foil the march of pro-Telangana students towards the state Assembly for the separate Telangana state.

Late in the evening violence broke out after a self-immolation was attempted by a 19-year-old youth S Yadagiri inside the campus of Osmania University.

Police fired rubber bullets and tear gas shells inside the campus of the university and this triggered a fresh face-off there between the students and police. Seething with anger the students hurled stones and also torched buses.

Around 100 students tried to break police cordon earlier in the day and tried to run towards the Assembly. Police immediately reacted by taking them into the custody.

At different places, said police officials, more than 300 students were taken into preventive custody who violated prohibitory orders in the city.

Students also hurled stones at the car of T Tirupati Rao, Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University, in the campus. However, Rao was not in the vehicle that time confirmed East Zone Deputy Superintendent of Police Mahesh Chandra Ladha.

New Delhi, Feb. 18 — Andhra Pradesh’s Telangana region Congress MPs alleged on Thursday that police molested some students in the girls hostel of Osmania University in Hyderabad. The MPs have also appealed to Congress president Sonia Gandhi to direct the state government for taking an action against those involved in it.

The Congress MPs met at Andhra Bhawan in New Delhi and sent a letter to Sonia Gandhi alleging that the AP police were “committing excesses against students in the Osmania and Kaktiya Universities”.

They wrote on the letter, “Some 2,000 police personnel entered the university campus in Hyderabad on Monday and lathicharged the students who were protesting peacefully. The police dragged the students and beat them up. They even entered girls hostel and switched off the lights and molested some of them.”

Madhu Goud Yaskhi, MP from Nizamabad and G Vivekanand, MP from Pedapalli said to the reporters, “We strongly condemn these incidents.”

MP Vivekanand further said that they have appealed to Congress president Sonia Gandhi to “direct the chief minister to transfer the police officials responsible for this police repression and form a committee to monitor the situation and bring peace on the campus.”

Visakhapatnam, Feb.02- Including 8 children, bodies of twelve persons were fished out from Tandava reservoir of the boat mishap victims.

“With the recovery of six bodies today, all the 12 bodies including eight children have been fished out from the reservoir and rescue operations have winded up now,” Visakhapatnam District Superintendent of Police Vineet Brijlal told. The children are aged between nine to twelve.

The country-made boat overturned to watery grave last Sunday. Apart from those two who escaped, all others are drowned.

Together with the eight school children14 villagers were at the boat.

After performing rituals at a small hill, on the way back to Ammapeta in Golugonda, one of them saw a snake in the boat. Making a troubled situation of fear, all are moved to the one side of the boat and it ousted to the mishap.

A seven member Navy dive expert’s team was helped to fish out the missing people along with villagers and local swimmers.

Hyderabad, Feb.02- About 30 people are injured after a fire broke out in a private hospital, Park Super Speciality Hospital in the Somajiguda area Tuesday. Patients, nurses and the other hospital staff are included among the injured, police officer said.

Somajiguda is one of the busiest areas in the city. The remarkable rescue work helped reduce the number of injured people, otherwise more people could be ambushed by the fire broke, police officer said. Eight patients were saved from the Intensive Care Unit.

The injured taken to Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) and Yashoda Hospital. Four of them are in a critical stage as per the report.

The reason behind the fire broke out is not identified police said.
