India has successfully test-fired “Agni-1″ missile from the Wheelers’ Island, a defence base in the Bay of Bengal on Orissa coast on Sunday. An indefinite curfew has been imposed in the northwestern Pakistani town of Hangu after sectarian clashes. In the clashes, at least 4r persons including a policeman dead & 25 others injured. A navy craft of Sri Lanka has been sunk on Saturday in the island’s north-eastern coast after a sea mine blast. Five sailors were rescued & a search was under way for the other 11 crewmen after the pre-dawn blast off Nayaru.

Ansar Burney the Pakistan’s caretaker Minister for Human Rights on Friday appealed to Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf to convert Sarabjit’s death sentence to life imprisonment. An earthquake of magnitude 7.2 earthquake hit western China on Friday. But there was no immediate reports of any deaths.
The US Geological Survey said that the earthquake was hit at 6:33 am. The epicentre of this earthquake was 225 kilometres southeast of Hotan in Xinjiang province.

At least five killed & many injured when a suicide car bomber attacked a Pakistan army base in a troubled tribal region bordering Afghanistan on Thursday. Senior officials of China on Thursday announced that they had been arrested 24 suspects for involvement in riots that struck Tibet’s regional capital Lhasa last week.
