Shootout in eastern Guatemala killed 9

At least nine people killed & seven injured in a shootout in eastern Guatemala that is likely tied to drug traffickers.
A senior official said that the nine people killed were apparently ambushed on Tuesday in the town of Teculutan.
Police have arrested three Mexicans & three Guatemalans who were carrying an arsenal of automatic rifles & grenades near the shootout. Police is investigating the matter.

Ladakhis on hunger strike

Most of the locals in Ladakh on Tuesday took part in a hunger protest to express their solidarity with exiled Tibetans protesting against Chinese oppression. Over 200 people participated in the event.
A protester on hunger strike said, “Our main motive is the same as sought by the Dalai Lama. We will silently sit in hunger strike & protest”.

Chase Tatum, a former WCW (World Championship Wrestling) wrestler was found dead in his home after suffering an apparent accidental drug overdose. Chase Tatum 34 years old was found dead on Sunday in his home in Atlanta.
Chase Tatum used to wrestle for the now-defunct WCW. More recently, he appeared in the comedy “Who’s Your Caddy?” alongside rapper Big Boi of Outkast.

Security forces killed Hizbul Mujahideen militant

The security forces on Tuesday killed a Hizbul Mujahideen militant in an encounter in Jammu & Kashmir’s Reasi district.
On a specific information, troops of 59 Rastriya Rifles launched a cordon & search operation in an area in Gulabgarh belt of Reasi district around 07:30 am on Tuesday.
During the encounter, which was still on, one Hizbul militant was killed & an AK rifle & large amount of ammunition were recovered.

At least 400 protesters on Tuesday surrendered to the Police in Aba county of the south-western Chinese province. Police in the Tibetan populated county issued a notice urging those who had taken part in the riots March 16 to give themselves up to the authorities within ten days.
An official said, “Among those surrendered, most are common people or monks deceived or coerced”. Riots in the Aba county erupted on the heels of the Lhasa unrest.

Dead body found in Queensland

Police on Tuesday found a dead body in Australia. The body of a man has been found floating near a beach off south-east Queensland.
The body, believed to be that of a man in his late 20s, was found in the water off North Stradbroke Island around 100.30p am (IST). Emergency Services were at the scene. Police is investigating the matter.

A grenade exploded in Akhnoor border belt in Jammu & Kashmir on Tuesday in which a Border Security Force jawan was injured.
The grenade was exploded accidently. The grenade exploded during a firing practice in Khleeth firing range in Akhnoor border belt causing injuries to Havaldar Inder Vishwasiya of the BSF.

Australian man killed U.S. tourist in Thailand

An Australian man on Saturday killed an American Tourist. The American tourist was shot dead during a quarrel in a restaurant in northern Thailand with an Australian man.
An official said that the 46 years old American tourist, Gary Poretsky from Hawaii, was shot three times by William Douglas in Chiang Mai after they quarreledng.
