Zoos across India alerted against bird flu
Feb 1st, 2008 | Category:National NewsThe (CZA) Central Zoo Authority on Friday alerted all zoos across the India to take preventive measures in the wake of bird flu outbreak in several parts of West Bengal. B R Sharma, member secretary of Central Zoo Authority said, “We are issuing guidelines to all major zoos across the India to assure that the animals in the enclosures are safe from the avian flu”. The zoo officials suggested to provide disposal gloves, masks & other accessories to animal keepers working at various enclosures particularly birds. B R Sharma said,”These measures have been taken to contain the spread of avian influenza”.
