  6. Sujatha was very prompt in responding reader’s queries. IN 1973, in the prologue to the novel Sorga Tivu he had quoted a letter from the TIME magazine. I had a collection of over 1000 issues of Time magazine. But I could not locate the particular letter in question. I wanted Sujatha to tell me the source to enable me to read the letter in full. He promptly replied me (in the same inland letter) giving the reference and thanking me. Iam still preseving the letter with Sujatha’s signature. I feel sorry for not meeting him once. The journalistic world will miss him for his lively ,probing and intellecual mind. May his soul rest in peace.

  19. What a shock I received on the morning of 28th Feb. in the form of sad demise of all time great Tamil Writer Sri. Sujatha. When I was working in BSNL, I had an happy occasion to meet him,(thus fulfilling my long cherished desire)in BEL some years back.Being an ardent admirer of Sri Sujatha from the days of “NYLON KAYIRU”, I could not express my happiness in meeting him that day and I still cherish this memory even today.Though He is not with us today physically , no power can remove him from us in the form his contribution to Tamil Literature. May The Almighty give enough strength to his family to bear this irrepairable loss.
