Viswanathan Anand draws 11th game, wins world chess title

India’s Viswanathan Anand drew the 11th game of the 12-game World Chess Championship final with white pieces against Vladimir Kramnik to take an unbeatable 6.5-4.5 lead & retain his world title.

In the eight years since he won the FIDE World Championships in New Delhi & Teheran, Viswanathan Anand has dominated the world of chess, winning in all forms & versions ranging from blitz to classical. Here is a list of his major wins since 2000:2008: Undisputed World Championship title, beating Vladimir Kramnik 6.5-4.5 in Bonn.
