Vandana two & half year old girl rescued by army in Agra

The two & half year old girl Vandana has been rescued. Vandana had been in borewell for 27 hours. The rescue team has dig a 50-feet hole to reached to Vandana. Vandana has been fell into a 45-foot borewell at Tehra village in Agra on Tuesday night while playing with her friends. The rescue operation started soon after the villagers complained about the incident to the authorities.
There have been various instances of children falling into open pits in the recent past, due to the carelessness of civic authorities. In July 2006, five-year-old Prince, who fell into a 53 ft deep shaft in Haryana was rescued after over two days by the Army. Three more similar incidents had been reported from Madhya Pradesh earlier.
An official said, “The baby is normal, she is crying & talking. We were sending her biscuits & glucose water to ensure that she did not dehydrate. We created the tunnel of 50-feet to reach her using barrels of tin & iron”.
