Unidentified men killed two police constables in Jammu

Some unidentified men on Tuesday killed two police constables after opened fire on them in Udhampur district of Jammu & Kashmir. They opened fire on two policemen during their duty on Dhar road near GREF office in Udhampur town. Soon after the firing, the assailants fled from the spot.

One policemen, Arun Kumar was died at the spot while other Deep Kumar was injured. He was shifted to a local hospital where he had died. A senior official of police said that they have launched a hunt to track down the culprits responsible for the act.

The official, however, ruled out involvement of militants in the incident. The official also said that old rivalry was believed to be the reason behind the incident.
