Three Indian Engineers killed in Afghanistan suicide attack
Apr 12th, 2008 | Category:Breaking News, India News, National News, World NewsThree Engineers of Border Roads Organisation (BRO) have been killed on Saturday & several others injured when a suicide bomber blew himself up near a convoy of Indian road construction workers in south west Afghanistan.
The victims were on way to a construction site when the suicide bomber struck in Herat. Nearly 400 BRO personnel are engaged in construction of a key highway between Zaranj & Delaram in Afghanistan as part of India’s assistance programme for reconstruction of the war-torn country.
Taliban has been opposed to India’s engagement in development & reconstruction work in Afghanistan & have been issuing threats from time to time.
