Two Hizbul Mujahideen killed in Srinagar
Apr 2nd, 2008 | Category:Breaking News, Cities News, India News, Jammu and Kashmir News, National NewsPolice has killed two top commanders of Hizbul Mujahideen in Jammu & Kashmir’s Anantnag district of Srinagar on Tuesday, Police said on Wednesday.
“Divisional commander” Aslam Khan alias Ziaur Rehman & “District commander” Javaid Ahmad Lone alias Nazar were killed in a gunfight with security forces in Dudoo-Marhama village in Bijbehara area.
The killing of the duo comes close on the heels of the arrest of another top Hizbul commander, Rayees Ahmad Dar alias Kachroo, who was allegedly involved in large number of killings including that of security force personnel.
