Police has arrested three top militants of Hizbul Mujahideen including a self-styled district commander from Kupwara district of Jammu & Kashmir, an official of Police said on Thursday.

The militants identified as Mudasir Shabir Ganai alias Ali, district commander, Parvaiz Ahmad Wani alias Mubashir & Nisar Ahmad were arrested from Gund-Chogal in Handwara area of the district on Wednesday.

The official also said that two AK-47 rifles & six magazines, 125 rounds, a pistol with its one magazine & four rounds, three Chinese grenades, an under barrel grenade launcher with eight grenades, three mobile phones & two pouches were recovered from the arrested militants.
