Three SIMI activists arrested in Madhya Pradesh
Three activists, including a trainer of banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI), have been arrested on Wednesday by the Madhya Pradesh police.
A senior official of Police said today, “The trio identified as Amaan, Zakir Lala & Irfan Chhipa have been arrested from different places this morning”.
The official said that the Amaan was engaged in training SIMI activists, while Zakir had been the local chief of the banned outfit. Chhipa was nabbed for helping SIMI & carrying out other illegal activities.
During interrogation all the three confessed to have been working to strengthen the organisation at the behest of top SIMI leaders.
