Three arrested in Samba encounter case
The intelligence agencies have arrested three people for their suspected involvement in the incident which happened two days ago. The security forces shot dead two militants in a fierce encounter in the Samba sector in J&K on Sunday.
According to reports, the identity of those arrested has not been revealed due to security reasons. All the three men are being interrogated for further leads. The authorities have also recovered cash worth Rs 2.7 lakhs from the three suspects.
The security agencies swung into action shortly after the encounter & laid a trap to nab them following tip-off from the intelligence agencies. The security forces on Sunday had foiled a suicide attack on an Army base & killed two suspected L-e-T militants. Militants had taken five people as hostages, who were released later. The ensuing 12-hour long gun-battle had left six people dead including a photojournalist.
