Strong winds damaged crops in Amravati, Maharashtra
Hailstorm has hit many parts of the Maharashtra & Amravati which damaged crops & properties in Amravati.
Stormy winds coupled with rain & hailstorm hit the city & other parts of the district around 14:30 pm on Sunday.
Several parts of the district were also hit by the rainfall. As per reports, Warud & Chandu Railway tehsil experienced heavy rains.
Jarud, Benoda & Tembhurkheda villages in Warud tehsil was affected by showers, damaging wheat crops ready for threshing.
Worst-hit by the rains was Sawanga fair where devotees had gathered for Gudi Padwa. Nandgaon Khandeshwar tehsil also experienced heavy rains.
