Sourav Ganguly selected for the first two Tests against Australia

Sourav Ganguly 36 years old had been under pressure to keep his place as the elder statesman of the team’s four veteran batting stalwarts, along with Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid & VVS Laxman.
The first Test will be played in Bangalore from October 9 with the second game of the four-match series starting in Mohali on October 17. New Delhi and Nagpur stage the last two matches.
Squad: Anil Kumble (captain), Virender Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir, Rahul Dravid, Sachin Tendulkar, VVS Laxman, Sourav Ganguly, Subramaniam Badrinath, MS Dhoni (wicket-keeper), Zaheer Khan, Munaf Patel, Harbhajan Singh, RP Singh, Ishant Sharma, Amit Mishra.
