Sonia Gandhi the chairperson of UPA on Monday has announced that party workers in Uttar Pradesh will go to jail to make the Mayawati government accountable & if need be, Rahul Gandhi will join them in an attempt to revive the Congress in the politically crucial state.

Sonia Gandhi said, “Maujuda sarkar se hisab mangna hai aur agar jaroorat pare to jail bhi jane ke liye bhi tayar rehna hai. I think nothing can happen in Uttar Pradesh until our workers are ready to go to jail. Are all of you ready to go to jail”.

After a pause, the Congress chief said while pointing towards her son seated on the dais “agar jaroorat pari to rahul bhi aapke saath jail jayenge”(if need be Rahul will join you to go to jail “.
