Raj Thackeray will attend Shivaji function today
Raj Thackeray the leader of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) is to address a function on Monday in Mumbai. The function is organised on the occasion of Shivaji Jayanti, the birthday of the Maratha warrior Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
This gathering comes three weeks after the expiry of the last court order prohibiting Raj from delivering inflammatory, anti-outsider speeches in public.
The function is being held at Central Mumbai’s Shivaji Park, the traditional venue of Shiv Sena rallies.
Raj Thackeray’s MNS, which broke away from the more powerful Sena has been conducting a steady campaign against non-Maharashtrians over the last few months.
