Jalandhar: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has on Wednesday said that the country needed a tough anti-terror law but not a “failed” statute like POTA. Rahu Gandhi said, “There should be a strong law to deal with terror. A powerful law, not a failed law. POTA is a failed law. When POTA was in operation, Parliament was attacked. We almost lost our MPs, Home Minister & the Prime Minister”.

He also said that his candidate for the PM’s post in next Lok Sabha elections is Dr Manmohan Singh. he further said that Dr Singh is not just his candidate but also of the entire Congress party, the charismatic Congress leader.
