Pune airport closed

Pune Airport
The airport officials told sources that Pune airport will remain closed for a fortnight from today on account of “re-carpeting” work on the runway. All domestic & international flights will remain suspended during this period.
The Pune airport has remained closed for limited hours in the mornings for over last two months due to the ongoing work. Thirty-five flights take off from Pune airport, which is run by the Indian Air Force, every day.
The airport is also a base for private jets of several companies based in the city. The re-carpeting of the runway is going on at the Pune International Airport from September. The decision of the closure of the airport has drawn severe flak from passengers, airliners & the corporate sector.
Airline companies have made some alternative arrangements for these 15 days. They will have coaches running from Mumbai & Pune during the period of the airport closure. Air India had already informed their passengers about the closure.
