Police failed to arrest Dera’s Chief, Sikh protesters block trains
Sikhs protesters have on Wednesday block trains as Police failed to arrest Dera Sachcha Sauda chief Baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim. The “Rail Roko” call given by Damdami Taksal & certain radical Sikh organisations asked the protesters to remain peaceful.
The Sikh protesters squatted on the track at several places, including Amritsar, Sirhind, Malout, Abohar, Sangrur & Rajpura in Punjab to protest against the killing of an innocent Sikh by the body guard by the order of of Ram Rahim in Mulund Mall of Mumbai last Friday. Protesters have repeatedly warned that things will get out of control if no action is taken against the Dera chief.
On Friday, Ram Rahim’s bodyguard killed a 50 years old innocent Sikh, Balkaar SIngh, outside a suburban mall in Mumbai during a protest against the spiritual guru by a Sikh group which turned violent. According to reports, Dera chief told his bodyguard to kill Balkaar Singh.
Ram Rahim had drawn the ire of Sikhs for allegedly hurting their religious sentiments after he appeared dressed as Guru Gobind Singh Ji at a public function in Haryana’s Sirsa town where a religious commune headed by him is situated.
