A day after Narayan Rane slammed the Congress Party, senior leaders & Congress President Sonia Gandhi after being denied the Chief Minister’s post in Maharashtra, Narayan Rane has been suspended from the party with immediate effect. While announcing the suspension of Rane from the party, AICC general secretary Janardan Dwivedi said, “Narayan Rane is making public statements deliberately with a view to lowering the prestige of the Indian National Congress”.

Rane, a former Shiv Sena leader & former CM of Maharashtra, had joined the Congress three years ago. However, he pursued his ambition of becoming the Chief Minister of Maharashtra at any cost.
