Mumbai-New York flight delayed after hijack threat
A Delta Airlines Mumbai-New York flight was delayed on Thursday night after the US consulate had received a hijack threat that turned to be a false.
The US consulate then informed the station manager of Delta Airlines that they have received a hijack threat for flight DL-17. When contacted the consulate spokesperson & station manager of Delta Airlines denied the incident completely.
A senior official of Police said, “We got a call from the airport authorities regarding a hijack threat & a suspect on board. We immediately deployed our team there”.
The flight finally took-off at 1.17 a.m. from the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport
