In Bihar, today, angry mob torched a train and also a station protesting against new rail schedule. According to the new schedule, trains skip stops in few stations.

The television footage of the protest showed orange flames and black smoke billowing out of the train which was stopped in the outer area of the Khusrupur train station. About two hundred protesters set Khusrupur station on fire and also pulled up train tracks. The protest caused delays to many trains.
The new schedule of the train is the result of a political reshuffle. Mamata Banerjee, the new Railway minister overturned the policy of the outgoing Railway minister, Lalu Prasad Yadav.
Lalu Prasad Yadav, in his tenure, had major trains stopping at dozens of smaller stations in his home state, Bihar.
Stoppages of as many as 33 trains has been withdrawn by the Railway Board. It also includes Howrah-Patna Janshatabdi Express, Rajgir-New Delhi Shramjeevi Express and Toofan Express .
