Major fire in Dharavi slums in Mumbai
A major fire on Tuesday night engulfed Mumbai’s slum cluster Dharavi, the biggest slum of Asia, which resulted a major loss of property. 10 fire brigades had to be pressed into action to control the blaze. More than 100 hutments have been destroyed in the inferno. The cause of the fire was a short circuit.
The local residents tried their best to control the fire but they not got success. The fire quickly spread across the slum following which the fire brigade had to be summoned. The fire started from a plastic godown after which it spread across the slums.
