Landslides killed 14 in Uttarakhand
At least 14 people have been killed & 12 others injured after a passenger bus was hit by landslides at Sukhidhang area of Chamawat district in Uttarakhand on Friday. The bus carrying 34 passengers was bound for New Delhi from Thal in the hilly Pithoragarh district when it was trapped in heavy landslide following rain.
As the bus was nearing Champawat town, a landslide hit the bus & damaged its front. Ten bodies have been recovered so far while the injured are being rushed to nearby hospitals. The condition of three persons is stated to be serious.
