The alleged kingpin of India’s biggest kidney transplant racket Dr. Amit Kumar arrested yesterday in Kathmandu yesterday. Before arrest, Amit Kumar kidney kingpin also tried to bribe the Nepalese police by offering Rs. 20 lakh. The minister of state for home Sriprakash Jaiswal expressed hope that Amit Kumar would be sent back in accordance with the international agreements reached between the two countries to hand over such persons. Amit will be produced in a Nepalese court on Sunday due to two holidays in Nepal. Deputy Inspector General Ramesh Kumar Shrestha said,”As today & tomorrow are holidays in Nepal, Kumar will be produced in court on Sunday”. but the Dr. Amit Kumar is still saying that “I m innocent” & I have no links with underworld. I have not done any crime in India.
