Hunger strike of India Airlines employees’ continues
Feb 20th, 2008 | Category:Delhi News, India News, National NewsThe Indian Airlines employees are on a hunger strike for the past three days demanding fundamental facilities for the workers. The condition of many of the striking employees has started deteriorating as the fast entered fourth day also. They are seeking justice for the employees who have been associated with the airlines for more than past 17 years. However, the airlines administration & government has refused to budge.
The employees do not even enjoy basic facilities like provident fund, gratuity, leaves & medical benefits. The workers have not found justice despite the order of the Supreme Court.
The Supreme Court in its order had said earlier that the workers should be granted the benefits in accordance with the Law of Service.
