Haryana govt restricts Ram Rahim’s movement
The Haryana government has imposed an informal ban on the movement of Dera Sachcha Sauda Chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim outside the Dera Sacha Sauda campus in Sirsa. This comes a day after the Maharashtra government talked about its plan to ban the Dera chief’s entry into the state for about one year.
A senior Haryana home department official said the Dera head had been asked not to venture out as apart from the danger to his life, even the security agencies were facing problems due to repeated opposition to the sect head & the subsequent threat perception. Haryana provides Z plus security to the Ram Rahim.
Balkaar Singh, a 50 years old Sikh, was allegedly killed in firing by bodyguard of Ram Rahim on June 20 on Friday.
