Anshul Chhatterpati, who has filed a case against Gurmeet Singh, flayed the Haryana Government for helping Dera chief indirectly during the trial in CBI court at Ambala. Chhaterpati, son of Ram Chander Chhatterpati who was allegedly murdered in 2002, alleged that the government has been shielding the dera chief. He told media persons that the Haryana government had fled an application before the registrar general of the Punjab & Haryana High Court seeking tranfer of the trial of criminal cases pending against Dera Chief & others in the special CBI court at Ambala to Sirsa.

Chhatterpati said, “The grounds on which the govt. has sought transfer of the cases are just strange. In its application, the govt. summarized that during the appearance of Gurmeet Ram Rahim before the court, a large no. of followers no only accompany him but also use to gather alongside the road on the entire route from Sirsa to Ambala, thus creating a law & orders problem. Besides this, the govt. also seeks exemption from his presence in the court”.

Demanding a speedy & fair trial, Chhatterpati said, “If the government wanted to transfer the case from Ambala court then it should be shifted to outside of three states, including Haryana, Punjab & Rajashtan. In these states, Gurmeet Ram Rahim has large following.

A special court of Ambala will hear arguments on the framing of murder & sexual harassment charges against Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim on Saturday.
