Harkat-ul-Mujahideen militant arrested in New Delhi
A Harkat-ul-Muajahideen militant, who managed to give police a slip in 2001, has been arrested in New Delhi. On a tip off, the special cell of Delhi Police arrested Habib-ur-Rehman alias Babu from Sarai Kale Khan area of New Delhi last night.
Rehman had managed to dodge a police net in 2001 when he tried to smuggle in eight kg of high explosive RDX & detonators into the capital. At that time, two of his accomplices, who were Pakistani nationals, were arrested. Rehman, who hails from Moradabad in Uttar Pradesh, carries a reward of Rs 25,000 on his head.
