Saharsa, September 04 — Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, on a trip to Bihar Saturday, accused Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to have mainatianed a double face on relationship with Narendra Modi and BJP.

Kicking off his party’s campaign ahead of Bihar Assembly polls, Gandhi said, “Modi did not campaign in the last Assembly polls in Bihar, but shortly after the election was over he (Kumar) was sighted with Modi holding his hands at an NDA rally in Punjab … Kumar is maintaining a double face before and after polls.”

Gandhi said that Nitish Kumar had remained a union minister during the NDA rule as well as after the Gujarat riots, but his government did nothing even when MNS chief Raj Thackeray attacked Bihar and Uttar Pradesh migrants to Mumbai.

He even criticised Nitish Kumar for objecting Gujarat CM campaigning in his state.

Gandhi asked, “If development has at all taken place in Bihar, then why are people migrating to Mumbai, Haryana, Punjab and Delhi for livelihood.”

Gandhi said that Bihar and uttar Pradesh got more financial assistance from the Centre than any other state, but it is unfortunate that these funds do not reach to poor in rural areas.
