FIR lodged against CRPF DIG in Nandigram
Two womens from Sonachura village have filed an FIR against DIG CRPF Alok Raj in Nandigram, alleging that they were molested by him late last night, an allegation the central force officer described as false. Officer-in-charge of Nandigram police station, Debasish Chakraborty said today the women had lodged complaints that they were beaten up & molested by Raj during a raid.
Raj on his part said, “This is a false allegation made to stop me from doing my work in Nandigram, but I am not afraid of such allegations & will continue to do my duties here. Nothing can deter him from doing my duty”.
He also said he was busy at a meeting last night & did not leave the CRPF camp. The DIG said police had not informed him about the FIR.
