Probodh Mukherjee a noted film maker has passed away at a private hospital in Mumbai following a cardiac arrest. He was 88 years old. Mukherjee is survived by wife & two sons -Tapan & Basu, who are into distribution business.

He died at 23:55 hrs (IST) on Saturday night at Nanavati Hospital where he was hospitalised for the last one week. Prabodh was younger brother of Sashdhar & Subodh Mukherji.

He produced several films like “Junglee” , “April fool” , “Sharmili” , “Love Marriage” , “Shagird” , “Abhinetri” , “Ladke Baap se badke” & “Mr Romeo”.
