Education in private schools in Delhi to get costlier

The chairman of Federation of Schools, R P Mallick said, “There will be 20 to 30 per cent increase in fees”. He expressed hope that the decision will help its 300 member institutions to raise the salary of teachers by about 40 per cent. However, he said, the new fee structure will come into force only after the Pay Commission recommendations are implemented.
R P Mallick said, “It is the tuition fees that help us pay the teachers salary & manage our expenditure. This hike will in a way benefit the teachers a lot”.
Mallick attributed the fee hike to rise in expenditure to run schools. On April one, the schools had increased the tuition fees by 10 per cent, which is a part of the routine hike.
