Dreaded don Brijesh Singh sent to Mumbai on transit remand

Brijesh Singh an inter-state gangster, allegedly involved in the J J Hospital shooting case in Mumbai in 1992, was on Monday sent to the metropolis on a three day transit remand for his production in a court there.m Sanjeev Jain the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate ordered the Delhi Police to accompany their Mumbai counterpart & assure Brijesh Singh’s presence before the Principal Sessions Judge in Mumbai. The court remanded Singh to 14 days judicial custody, but rejected the prosecution’s demand for extension of his police custody saying that Delhi Police had enough time & opportunity to interrogate the accused.
