Dr Nupur Talwar finally broke her silence on her daughter Arushi’s murder on Saturday, claiming that her husband Rajesh Talwar had falsely been implicated by the police in the case. Dr Nupur said that it was impossible Rajesh Talwar could have killed her daughter Arushi. She said that the killer was still out in the open.

Nupur said, “Will any mother cover up for a husband who killed his daughter?” Expressing faith in God and law, Nupur said she would fight for her husband till the end. She described domestic help Hemraj as elderly & caring to Arushi, saying they had dinner like any other normal family and went to sleep on the day the two were murdered.

Earlier in the day, Dr Anita Durrani dismissed the allegations made by Police on Friday as “wrong” & “baseless”, saying both the families had good relations. She is a doctor who has a private clinic in Delhi’s Khan market. Anita & her husband Praful Durrani said that what the police was claiming was “very, very shocking. Everything is false. Nothing is true. All these things are baseless”.

The police said Rajesh Talwar’s relationship with Anita Durrani had led to his trouble with his daughter Aarushi.
