Dhd(J) Militants attacked Railway Station, killed 3 in Assam
The DHD(J) militants has attacked a Railway Station in Assam’s North Cachar Hills district in which three persons killed after 12 of their members perished in an encounter with security forces, Police said today.
The Dima Halam Daogah (Jewel) militants attacked Migrain Bisu railway station around 10 pm & opened fire, killed three persons on the spot.
The attack was suspected to be in retaliation as the outfit’s 12 members were shot dead & 18 other’s injured in an encounter with army & police at Haralu village of the district earlier on Saturday.
The DHD(J) threatened to withdraw from the ceasefire with the Centre following Saturday’s encounter & demanded that the government stop railway broad gauge conversion work by Sunday midnight.
