Death warrant out for Sarabjit Singh
Sarabjit Singh an Indian prisoner in pakistan condemned to death for his alleged involvement in four bomb blasts in Pakistan in 1990, will be hanged soon. An official said that the death warrant for Sarabjit was received by authorities at Kot Lakhpat jail in Lahore where he has been held for the last 17 years & will be executed on April 1.
Pervej Musharraf president of Pakistan had already rejected the mercury petetion of Sarabjit Singh on March 3. Sarabjit was arrested on 25 august 1990 by Pakistan border guards. Sarabjit was sentenced to death for his alleged involvement in the bomb blasts in Lahore & Multan that killed about 14 people. His family denies he was a spy as claimed by Pakistan & insists he accidentally strayed into Pakistani territory.
