Curfew in Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan
A curfew has been imposed in Chittorgarh district of Rajasthan after clashes of two groups. Members of one group were enraged when they saw some slogans against them on a wall & started throwing stones at members of another group. In the ensuing clashes, some shops were also burnt but there were no reports of injuries.
Curfew was imposed in most of the town about 350 km from the Jaipur the state capital following “visible communal tension” as police efforts to bring the situation under control failed.
The police described the situation as tense but under control. Media is not allowed in the Chittorgarh district due to curfew.
