Cricket fan critical after 40m fall

A 32 years old man who is a cricket fan is in a critical condition in hospital after falling almost 40 metres from an escalator at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Ray Rowe a Metropolitan Ambulance Service (MAS) spokesman said that the man fell from an MCG members’ stand escalator at about 4:00pm (IST) today after Australia’s Twenty Twenty cricket win over India. He sustained major head injuries, multiple fractures & significant upper-body injuries. Mr Rowe said,”Paramedics worked to stabilise the man for some time before he was taken to the Alfred hospital in a critical condition”.
