Clash between police & BKU in Muzaffarnagar, UP killed 6

Clash between police & activists of Bhartiya Kisan Union in sassoli village in Muzaffarnagar district on Monday inujured six people. Six people, including two policemen, were injured in a clash after the police tried to arrest a BKU leader at Sisoli.

An official of Police said that the two people sustained bullet injuries when police opened fire to disperse a violent crowd of BKU cadres who indulged in stone pelting to protest the arrest of their leader Mahender Singh Tiket.

Four others, including two policemen were injured when the protesters pelted stones against the policemen who came to the town to arrest Tiket. The injured have been shifted to a nearby hospital.
Tension prevailed in the area & Central Paramilitary Force has been deployed at Sisoli.

Police had on Sunday registered a case against BKU leader Tiket & others for allegedly making derogatory remarks against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati under the Scheduled Castes & Tribes Prevention of Atrocities Act.
