Bomb scare at Metro station in New Delhi
May 31st, 2008 | Category:Delhi News, Haryana News, India News, National NewsPanic was triggered in metro station in New Delhi on Saturday afternoon after the metro station officials have received an anonymous phone call threatening to blow up the facility. The Delhi Metro officials received the threat call at around 1 p.m. that bombs were placed in the Chaawri Bazar metro station & it would be blown up.
Bomb disposal teams & dog squads were rushed to the spot to conduct searches at the underground metro station. Police officials said, “We are conducting searches & simultaneously trying to identify the caller”. This is the third time in a week’s time that the station received the bomb threat calls. The calls on May 25 & 26 were declared a hoax after extensive security checks.
