BJP leader Sriram Rawat shot dead
May 29th, 2008 | Category:Breaking News, Cities News, India News, National News, States NewsSriram Rawat a BJP leader has been shot dead by unidentified men in Kakori area in Lucknow on Thursday. The incident took place when Rawat was going somewhere & some unidentified youths opened fire at him.
Critically injured Rawat was rushed to the Trauma centre where he succumbed to injuries. Land dispute was stated to be the reason behind the firing.
Rawat had contested the last assembly elections on a BJP ticket. Meanwhile, BJP has condemned the killing of Rawat alleging that there is no law & order in the state in Maywati’s regime.
