Bal Thackeray warns Sikhs against resorting to violence

Bal Thackeray, the chief of Shiv Sena has on Monday warned Sikhs against indulging in further violence. Bal Thackeray was reacting to the violence that occurred in Mumbai on Saturday after a Sikh was allegedly killed by bodyguard of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh.

Bal Thackeray said, “Though Punjab is quiet, the situation in Maharashtra including Mumbai is volatile due to the violence unleashed by the Sikhs. They should stop violence immediately & maintain peace”.

Thackeray said, “Why are you raising your sword on the innocents? maintain peace & stop the violence immediately. I want to say only one thing to the Sikhs. Whatever may be your sect. Stop this violence immediately. If this continues then the day won’t be far when Maharashtra may start retaliating”.

He further said in his statement, “The elder Sikhs should tell the youngster what happened to the Sikhs when Indira Gandhi was assasinated. They should not forget that it was because of Shiv Sena that the anti-Sikh riots did not percolate into Maharashtra”.

The advise of Bal Thackeray is nice.
Sikhs do not have rights to spread violence in other states. They should not cross their limits.
