“Baisakhi” celebrated throughout Punjab
Baisakhi has been celebrated throughout Punjab on Monday. Baisakhi is the festival of wheat harvesting & creation of the “Khalsa Panth” by tenth Sikh guru, Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
Thousands of devotees took holy dip in sacred Sarovar of historic Gurdwara Sukhchaina Sahib in Phagwara.
Guru Gobind Singh on this day in 1699 had first baptised five sikhs called “Panj Pyaras” by making them partake “amrit” & then taking the same from them for creating Khalsa Panth.
