7 killed in Malegaon blast, 70 injured

At least 7 people have been killed & more then 70 injured in a bomb blast in the busy Bhikhu Chowk area in Malegaon of Maharashtra on Monday. Eight others, including six policemen, were hurt in stone-pelting after the blast. Night curfew was imposed in the eastern part of the town after the blast and stone-pelting. The injured were rushed to the nearby Noor Hospital & Faran Hospital.

The location where the blast took place also happens to be outside the building where the banned SIMI had its office. It is opposite Nisar Dairy & Bhikku Hotel. Police also found an abandoned silver colored motorcycle near the blast site.

In other case, One killed & 10 Injured in a blast in Modasa in Sabarkantha district of Gujarat on Monday.
