54th National Film Awards announced
The country’s most prestigious film awards, the National Film Awards for the year 2006 have been announced in Delhi on Tuesday & Sanjay Dutt starrer “Lage Raho Munnabhai” has bagged the maximum number of four awards. Among the big winners was Pulijanmam, Priyanandan’s Malayalam film. It bagged the National Award for Best Film.

Best Supporting Actor: Dilip Prabhawalkar for Gandhi in “Lage Raho Munnabhai”.
Best Supporting Actress Konkana Sen for Omkara.
Best Song: Lage Raho Munnabhai.
Best Screenplay: Lage Raho Munnabhai.
Best Lyrics: Lage Raho Munnabhai.
Jury Award: Vishal Bharadwaj for Omkara.
